CARB Compliance Services in California

The California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) Clean Truck Check (CTC) program has several requirements for vehicle owners to comply with:

Compliance Fee: Vehicle owners must pay an annual compliance fee that is adjusted annually based on the California Consumer Price Index (CCPI). The fee is used to fund the program’s implementation.

Emissions Testing: Vehicles must undergo periodic emissions compliance testing performed by a credentialed tester. Roadside monitoring: CARB uses roadside emissions monitoring to identify vehicles with potentially high emissions. If a vehicle is flagged, the owner will receive a Notice to Submit to Testing (NST) and must submit a passing emissions test within 30 days.
